Children’s Story Times

In these sessions, we will be introducing a board book, singing songs, practicing fingerplays, and playing with specially selected toys. Our focus is to improve sensory skills, build early literacy, and to strengthen the emotional bond between a caregiver and baby. This is a great way for new mothers and babies to socialize!
Please register for each session.
We are starting out once a month to see what kind of momentum we get!
Ages 0-2.
Fall Storytimes
September 1st – November 12th
Tuesday’s @ 10am or Thursday’s @ 10am
Read one book, sing songs, and learn! At the end of each session there will be a craft, scarf play, yoga, bubbles, and more! Each session is different!
Please register in case of inclement weather or illness. We will send out an email to everyone if it ever needs to be cancelled!

Homeschool storytimes

One of our local homeschooling mom’s, Andrea Fitzpatrick, is providing a homeschooler storytime for homeschoolers in the area! All are welcome, of course, whether they are homeschooled or not!
Parents must attend with their kids.
No need to register.
Ages 6-10.

Our very first storytime for baby! We will be playing with board books, singing songs, practicing fingerplays, and playing with specially selected toys. These sessions will be fun, entertaining, and a great way for new mothers and babies to socialize.

September 23rd @ 6pm Make Your Own Ice Cream
Matthew Yanarella from My Productions CT is coming back to the library to do an Ice Cream making program with us! He did the Pizza making program this past spring and it was an absolute hit!
This is a family program so please register your entire family. For all ages.
October 28th @ 5:30pm Halloween Cartooning
Does your child love to doodle and draw? Come learn to draw cute monsters with local author Rick Stromoski!
Space is limited so please register! Ages 7-12.
October 26th – 31st Halloween Scavenger hunt
Come any time we are open and do the scavenger hunt in our children’s section! Upon completion, hand your paper to a librarian and get your prize!

Using fine point colored pens, gems, and tassels, make some bookmarks of your very own in this relaxing craft session!

October 21st @ 6pm Teen Pom Pom Monsters Craft
Learn how to make your own pom poms in this fun craft session, then decorate them with googly eyes and other materials!
