Come use watercolors and collage to make a book tracker for the summer!

Summer Reading Programs

July 1st from 5:30pm-7:30pm Summer Reading Kick-Off!
Happy 250th birthday to the U.S.A.!
We will be celebrating with ice cream, crafts, real Harwinton artifacts provided by the Harwinton Historical Society, and outside games! Come grab your Summer Reading bag and enjoy the festivities!
Drop-in anytime between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. For all ages. No registration required.
July 7th @ 1pm Teen Chicken Book Craft
Create a chicken out of an old book! Chat and listen to music while we fold pages. Bring home your finished chicken to decorate your room.

July 10th All Day Building Day
Our activity room will be open all day for some fun building! Enjoy Legos, Lincoln Logs, Duplo’s and more! Come relax with us and enjoy hands on fun!

July 18th @ 11am Creature Features
White Memorial is coming to visit our library again with their live animals! Learn about the cool features of different creatures here in New England.
This program will be on our front lawn weather permitting, so bring a blanket or chair!

July 21st @ 1pm Teen Harry Potter Party
Come enjoy some Harry Potter themed games including trivia and bingo. Win themed prizes and enjoy some themed snacks!

July 22nd @ 5:30pm Magic Show
Come enjoy a magic show at the library!

July 24th All Day Sidewalk Chalk Day
Decorate our front sidewalks with your art! Drop-in any time of the day and help us transform the front of our library!

August 4th @ 1pm Teen Gem Art
Relax and enjoy making some gem art stickers with friends! Decorate folders, binders, water bottles and more with your finished products!

August 5th from 6pm-7:30pm Summer Reading Finale
For the first half hour of our finale we will have our pizza party! Eat pizza while kids receive their t-shirts. Beginning at 6:30pm Michelle Urban will be entertaining us with music, props, and dance! Last year she brought her giant parachute, lollipop drums, and colorful scarves!
