How to Sharpen Anything & Everything

April 5 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

sharp edged tools

It’s important to have the right tool for the job. And it’s just as important to make sure that tool is sharp! From an ordinary kitchen knife to the finest cutting tool, if it has a metal blade it will eventually become dull and need to be sharpened. This presentation by Harold Pantely will cover what types of steel are used to make blades, what makes a good cutting blade, the shapes of blade points, what sharpening tools are available and how to use them. Participants will learn both traditional and modern methods to sharpen instruments of all kinds. Attendees are invited to bring one dull item they would like to learn to sharpen – no saws or disposable razors, please.
This free program is for adults and space is limited. Please register.
